CER Response to B.C. Flooding – January 17, 2022 Update
January 17, 2022
On January 15, 2022, the existing Trans Mountain pipeline returned to normal operating pressure.
The pipeline was returned to service at reduced operating pressure on December 5, 2021. Since then, the CER has been overseeing the company’s activities related to a safe return to normal operations.
Safety is always the number one priority of the CER. Since the B.C. flooding event began in November 2021, we have worked closely with Trans Mountain to oversee a phased approach to return to service. There were no injuries or releases associated with CER-regulated infrastructure reported because of the floods.
