Trans-Northern Pipelines Inc.’s Final Audit Report

April 23, 2026

The CER conducted an Emergency Management Program audit of Trans Northern Pipelines Inc. (TNPI).

The Trans-Northern pipeline extends from Nanticoke, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec. It transports refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel and heating fuel.

The objective of this audit was to verify that the company has developed and implemented specific elements of an emergency management program in accordance with the requirements of the Onshore Pipeline Regulations.

Of the seven audit protocols evaluated, six had no issues identified and one was deemed non-compliant.

We will monitor TNPI’s Corrective and Preventative Action Plan to address issues found in the audit.

We hold regulated companies accountable for the safety, security, and protection of workers, the public and the environment.
