New CEO Announced

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Gitane De Silva has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER).

Ms. De Silva will join the CER for a 5-year term effective August 10, 2020. Sandy Lapointe, who has acted as the CEO for the past 4 months, will transition back to her role as Executive Vice-President, Regulatory.
