Tracy Sletto appointed acting CEO
Gitane De Silva has resigned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER), effective July 28, 2023. Current CER Executive-Vice President Tracy Sletto will assume the role of acting CEO. The CER would like to express its deep appreciation to Gitane for her leadership, dedication, and years of service.
The Government of Canada is running an open, transparent and merit-based selection process to identify a new CEO. Tracy Sletto will remain as CEO until the Governor in Council, acting on the advice of Cabinet, appoints a permanent CEO.
