NPS 10 Northern Pouce Coupé HDD Pipe Replacement Project

Project Background

Pouce Coupé Pipe Line Ltd. has filed an application for the Northern Pouce Coupé Horizontal Direction Drill Pipe Replacement Project. The project involves replacing approximately 1.9 km of 10 inch diameter pipe on the Pouce Coupé Northern System, which transports condensate, crude oil, and natural gas liquid products.

The project will include the installation of new pipe via horizontal directional drilling activities under the Pouce Coupé River. The redundant piping being replaced will be cleaned and decommissioned in place.

The project will require approximately 9 hectares of new footprint, which includes the acquisition of new pipeline right-of-way on private and Crown land, and temporary workspace. The project is located approximately 8 km west of Bonanza, Alberta.
