NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. – Leming Lake Sales Lateral Loop (Field Lake Section)

Project Summary

The Project is located in the province of Alberta within the county of Lac La Biche and includes the installation of an approximately 17 km NPS 20 pipeline loop of the existing Leming Lake Sales Lateral pipeline (Lateral). The pipeline loop starts at the Field Lake Compressor Station (NW 06-067-12 W4M) and parallels the Lateral where practical until its end point on the Lateral at SW 08-066-11 W4M. The Project is entirely on Crown land, except for approximately 400 m of the route within freehold land owned by NGTL. The Project will require the acquisition of approximately 35 ha of new land. Approximately 54 ha of temporary workspace (TWS) is anticipated to be required.

NGTL’s engagement with Indigenous groups on the Project began on May 25, 2023. A table was provided with feedback, issues and concerns received from Indigenous groups with respect to the Project to date. NGTL states that it remains available to discuss any questions or concerns brought forward by Indigenous groups during ongoing Project engagement.

Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2024.
