On 14 of December 2011, the Board made available $165,000 under its PFP to facilitate participation in the regulatory process for the Project.
Applications for funding received after the 15 February 2012 deadline were not considered. Of the four applications received requesting $172,165, 3 applicants were offered an award. 33% of the awarded funds went to Aboriginal groups.
The Funding Review Committee (FRC), an independent committee established by the Board, reviews all applications for participant funding, and provides recommendations on funding awards. Following a review of the FRC recommendations, the Board’s Chief Operating Officer accepted the FRC’s recommendations and approved the following funding awards:
Applicant | Amount awarded |
---|---|
Aamjiwnaang First Nation | $30,000 |
Ontario Pipeline Landowners Association (OPLA) | $65,000 |
