Energy Commodity Indicators – Crude Oil and Refined Petroleum Products

This dashboard presents a graphical overview of key indicators for crude oil and gasoline markets in Canada. Sources for this data include the Statistics Canada, the National Energy Board, the U.S. Energy Information Administration and Kent Group. The main indicators for this dashboard are:

  • Crude oil prices
  • Average retail gasoline prices
  • Crude oil production
  • Crude oil exports
  • Crude oil exports by rail
  • Crude oil imports
  • Weekly refinery crude runs
  • Crude oil supply projections to 2040

The units in this dashboard are available in cubic metres or barrels, and in a monthly or daily aggregation. Select unit on the upper left hand side of the dashboard. This dashboard utilizes a series of interactive filters. To remove the filter, click on the previously selected element or refresh the web page. Where applicable, totals for each dataset are available in the hover tooltip. Links to downloadable datasets are available at the bottom of this page.
