Contact Us - Library

The National Energy Board Library provides access to NEB, industry, and energy inf ormation. The NEB Library collection is unique and some materials can only be accessed through our Library. The Library takes great pride in collecting and preserving the literature of the NEB. Not only do we hold a full collection of all hearing materials (exhibits, hearing transcripts, and Reasons for Decision), but we also have a complete collection of NEB reports, studies, and research papers.

The main collection consists of statutes, federal regulations, decision documents from other jurisdictions, books, annual reports, studies, reports, speeches and standards. The remainder of the Library collection consists of directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias and industry-related indexes in the reference collection; documentaries and instructional videos in the audio visual collection; as well as oil, gas and electricity magazines and journals.

The Library makes available to the public a range of services including consultation of regulatory documents, copies of NEB publications, as well as referrals to internal and external sources of information. While members of the public cannot borrow Library materials directly from the NEB Library, many public, university, and corporate libraries can borrow material on an individual’s behalf through our inter-library loan service.
