Regulatory Stock Review Plan – Miscellaneous Amendment Regulations

Enabling Act: Canadian Energy Regulator Act (CER Act)

Rationale: Amendments to several regulations will be made to update name and term changes to reflect the CER Act.

Narrative: Many authorities for making regulations under the NEB Act are transferred into the CER Act. Existing regulations under these authorities will be maintained; non-substantive name and term changes to several regulations will be required. These regulatory changes will be brought forward through the Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations process.

The regulations included in this proposal are:

  • National Energy Board Onshore Pipeline Regulations (CER Act and Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations; administrative amendments)
  • National Energy Board Processing Plant Regulations
  • National Energy Board Pipeline Damage Prevention Regulations – Authorizations
  • National Energy Board Pipeline Damage Prevention Regulations – Obligations of Pipeline Companies
  • Gas Pipeline Uniform Accounting Regulations
  • Oil Pipeline Uniform Accounting Regulations
  • Oil Product Designation Regulations

Date of last review or amendment: Not applicable

Targeted start for review: 2018 (internal only)
